A Nightmare
Rafi Ahmed, Class VII (Panthers)

I was tucked in my bed,
When there was a knock on the door,
I opened it just to be struck by horror,
There was a blood-stained dagger on the floor!

I took it up and had a look,
It was covered with blood,
It made me feel like curl,
It made me think of murder, though that's absurd.

Just then came the siren of police-cars,
Out jumped the cops each with an M-16,
They ordered me to come out,
They addressed me as the murderer of a Mr. Green.

I came out.
Placed my hands on my head,
My heart was heavy as lead,
I wished that if only I were dead!

I hollered, I screamed,
I told them I was innocent,
I felt that I would soon faint,
But for me they didn't worry a cent.

To prove me guilty,
They faced me a judge whom I think was fake,
Half the strange jury only could shake,
In the other half each held a rake,

They forced me up a guillotine,
Put my head on the slaughter point,
It cut my head right through the joint,
And my head started dancing like a doit.

At this point I jumped and Oh dear!
How glad was I to see it all was a NIGHTMARE
