Friends,

I am usually a silent reader of the josephite list server. but today's topic really tempted to write something.... yes I am talking about our beloved khaled (Tutul). this name makes me so so very emotional and nostalgic. Friends I may sound dramatic, but I must say I had spent some of my best times with this guy. these memories are unforgettable.
Khaled joined a semester later than us ( babu & I) at ABAC. I got him a room at the same apartment complex where I lived. I still remember his way of keeping his room tidy and clean to the highest order. sometime we used laugh at him for this. During our semester break, we took several trips to different parts of Thailand. So simple ,so naive and so sentimental kind of guy was he.......
He used to love Thai food especially Tom Yam kai soup ( a special kind of spicy chicken soup). At times, during our exam times, we used study together and as he was little weak in maths and statistics, I ended up spending lot of time to assist him and give him mental strength in this regard.
I still have a silk shirt and shoe that we bought together from a sale from a nearby shopping mall. One cannot forget these so easily, when he is surrounded by those albums filled up pictures of our good old memories.
I still remember the night Khaled called me up to inform me about his sudden wedding episode.... it was the night before I left for Bangkok after the spring break. thats the last time I heard his voice.
a sweet natured, ever smiling Khaled is surely be and will be in our memory for ever. May Allah rest him in peace.

Bashar Mustafa Khaled (BM Tutul - many of you knew him by this name) passed
away four years back, leaving behind millions of memories for his family,
friends and all the people who knew him personally. I last met him few weeks
before he passed away in 1996 at a WVA fair. He has got a loving boy, Thasin
who was born after Tutul's death.

I've not seen that many of fun loving and cheerful friends like Tutul. He
always used underline his presence in different ways. I still remember that
he loved to collect perfumes and used to wear jeans and keds a lot.

I pray for Tutul and his loving family, and usually do not think or
speculate about the reason of his departure. He had an accident and thats
all I would tell you today. If any of you have more questions, please reach
me. Personally I believe that it would be better not to approach Tutul's
loving family about the reason after four years.
